Supporting Businesses which have to close
If you have been told to close your business premises by the Government due to the current COVID19 national lockdown you can apply for a business grant of up to £13,500 at https://midsussex.grantapproval.co.uk/

Young Saplings ready for planting
In the Autumn of 2019 West Hoathly Primary School received a selection of tree seedlings from the Woodland Trust.
These have been subsequently repotted twice and lovingly looked after by the School Gardening Club.
The saplings are approximately 75cm tall.
They are:
i) Silver birch ( Betula pendula )
ii) Wild Cherry ( Prunus avium ).
iii) Rowan ( Sorbus aucuparia ).

News from our Chairman
The vacancy on the Parish Council has been quickly filled, following standard procedures, through the co-option of Nick Griffin. We welcome Nick to the Parish Council; he will remain a member to the end of its current term in May 2024.

Community orchard tree planting
Phase 1 has been completed with 24 trees planted in Finche Field with protection in place. It was a fantastic effort by a great team of villagers who all braved the cold.

Work started on the Community Orchard
The Parish Council would like to thank the volunteers who braved the weather last Saturday 31 October to help prepare the ground in Finche Field for the Community Orchard.
It was hoped the fruit trees would be planted on Saturday 28th November but please look out for a change to this date due to the recent announcement of a further national lockdown.
