Having worked to establish a single Sussex Association of Local Councils (SALC), with three directors from WSALC and two from ESALC, in order to present as one body representing the 245 Town and Parish Councils across all Sussex and to include, in due course, newly created Town Councils in Horsham, Crawley, Shoreham, Worthing, Southwick, Eastbourne and Hastings going forward and having, yesterday, spent four hours in a meeting of over 50 key individuals hosted by West Sussex County, East Sussex County and Brighton & Hove Unitary with the four executives newly in post to prepare for a Mayor's office in May 2026, I am personally livid and on behalf of all the electors across Sussex extremely irritated at the deception, waste of public money and the waste of hundreds of individuals' time.
