Consultation Event for the proposed redevelopment of land at West Hoathly Brickworks, Hamsey Road, Sharpthorne

Invitation to a Consultation Event for the proposed redevelopment of land at West Hoathly Brickworks, Hamsey Road, Sharpthorne

Tuesday 22 November 2022

4–8pm Sharpthorne Church Hall, Station Road

Ashill Regen (AR) are now the freeholders of the former West Hoathly Brickworks, which is situated to the northern edge of Sharpthorne village. The Brickworks, which had been in operation since the late 1800s, ceased production in 2020 and is now a vacant brownfield site.

AR propose to redevelop the brownfield parts of the site with new homes, across a range of tenures, that will complement and reflect the existing character of the area. The design of the development is 'landscape led' with the retention and enhancement of existing woodland and green spaces within the site to protect and enhance biodiversity and provide green links throughout the development. A sensitive redevelopment of the site in a socially and environmentally responsible way, to meet the local housing need whilst reducing pressure to bring forward greenfield land for development.

The Consultation Event will provide more detailed plans and information and offer local residents the opportunity to discuss the proposals with members of the project team, who will be on hand to receive your feedback. All feedback, where possible, will inform the final plans that AR will submit to Mid Sussex District Council

If you have any queries or would like to speak to a member of the Ashill Regen project team, please contact the freephone information line on 0800 298 7040 or email at feedback@consultation-online.co.uk. Alternatively, please visit the project website at ashillregen-sharpthorne. consultationonline.co.uk where you can view the proposals after the 22nd November, and provide your feedback
