Parish Assembly - postponed until May

The Parish Council has agreed to delay the annual Parish Assembly from 01 March to, provisionally, the 10 May. This is in the hope, possibly forlorn, that socially distanced meetings could actually become a reality. Senior officers from the Police Traffic Team have been invited principally to address the C319.

In mid February, coincidentally, the Police gave a presentation to a group of Parish & Town Council Chairmen under the auspices of West Sussex Association of Local Councils. A very senior team has now been appointed specifically for 'Traffic' going forward and we hope the Parish Council will receive the details and contact numbers very shortly. They will be welcoming reports of observed incidents, with details of not just aggressive and dangerous driving, but speeding, driving on the pavement and also breaches of weight limits. This is partly because of encouragement from the Police Commissioner and also because the new Chief Constable has an undisclosed personal interest in the issue.

We will advise when we know where the reports should be submitted to.
