Young Saplings ready for planting
In the Autumn of 2019 West Hoathly Primary School received a selection of tree seedlings from the Woodland Trust.
These have been subsequently repotted twice and lovingly looked after by the School Gardening Club.
The saplings are approximately 75cm tall.
They are:
i) Silver birch ( Betula pendula )
ii) Wild Cherry ( Prunus avium ).
iii) Rowan ( Sorbus aucuparia ).

Community orchard tree planting
Phase 1 has been completed with 24 trees planted in Finche Field with protection in place. It was a fantastic effort by a great team of villagers who all braved the cold.

Waste and recycling
Collection days will change for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. The local festive collections are as follows:
Thursday 24 December will be collected on Wednesday 23 December
Thursday 31 December will be collected on this day as usual.

Mid Sussex Free parking after 3pm on Saturdays
Free parking after 3pm on Saturdays
Mid Sussex District Council is offering free town centre parking after 3pm on Saturdays in the lead up to Christmas.

Mid Sussex District Council has created a 'shop local' page on their website to promote the fantastic range of local businesses on the doorstep, many of which have adapted their offering to include online, take-away, click and collect and more.
Businesses can add their details and shoppers will be able to search for special local goodies and support traders and their staff by buying local.
