NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that from the date specified below, West Sussex County Council has temporarily closed to all traffic, Church Hill, West Hoathly CP, in the Mid Sussex District under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, on Church Hill for a distance approx 23 metres.

Exactly a year ago I see I was drawing attention to problems with South East Water (SEW) closing the C319 on three occasions in a matter of days and without notice. Grit/Salt bins
West Hoathly Parish Council politely remind residents that the green grit/salt bins located on public roads/junctions in our parish are for public roads and paths. They should not be used for private driveways.

Temporary closure of Finche Field Steps (Footpath 45W) - From the 24th October 2022
Finche Field Steps (Footpath 45W) will be closed from the 24th October 2022 for up to 3 weeks.
The path closure is necessary for public safety whilst essential step repair work takes place, the closure has been scheduled to commence over the school half term to help minimise the inconvenience.

Defibrillators - Available for use
The defibrillators located outside Sharpthorne Organic Cafe and West Hoathly School are now available for use again.
Both devices have received a software update and have been checked for any faults.
The National Defibrillator Newtork 'The Circuit' has been updated to reflect that the devices are now 'emergency ready'

Defibrillators - Temporarily Unavailable
The defibrillators located outside Sharpthorne Organic Cafe and West Hoathly School are temporarily unavailable for use.
The devices have been urgently recalled by the manufacture, due to a potential software fault. Both devices are currently away for repair and are expected to be returned on Friday 23rd September.
